Embrace an Attitude of Gratitude

Embrace an Attitude of Gratitude

Dear Wisdom,

Please help us to embrace an attitude of gratitude.

It is easy to count our troubles, since we face them daily and watch other people’s bigger troubles on the TV. The mind seems more likely to focus on troubles then on gifts. What does gratitude do to our brains? How does gratitude feed our spirit? How does gratitude draw positive people and events into our lives? How can we best continuously embrace a sense of gratitude? Thank YOU

Answer

The act of gratitude affects the cascade of chemicals that constantly flow through the body. Thoughts can “ weigh a person down” or lift a person up. The body actually feels these emotions. Many people feel the need to point out what they consider flaws and how they see a way to make it better. Others never want to commit to improvements for fear it will not last.

If someone stops drinking, instead of helping with positive compliments and telling others of their feat, their attitude is, “ I’ll believe that after the person stops drinking for a few years.”

This attitude makes it harder, for the negative beliefs impact the aura of the one trying to stay sober and also those that were influenced by the negative outlook. There is no positive emotion being created to help the struggling man to maintain sobriety. How much better the world would be if society focused on positive energy with thoughts that heal instead of an attitude trying to crush others.

Immersing oneself in gratitude affects those around you. Isn’t it more pleasant to be around someone who is positive than negative? It is definitely a choice to be grateful or depressing. Some have their humor on negative barbs. Others might laugh but have been infected with a touch of poison. The mind is a person’s most priceless asset. Many treat it like an abandoned lot where trash is thrown on it. A heart of gratitude is nourishment for the soul. Counting one’s blessings also generates a spirit of gratitude. One’s focus will also help drive an attitude of gratitude.

Through tragedy, there is always a “ silver lining” or something on the spiritual realm that benefited from this action. Forest fires are seen as tragedies and yet it is Mother Nature’s way of rebirth and new growth.

*If a human could hold on to this thought: That everything has a purpose. One might not discover the answer for a period of time, but hold on to the truth. There will always be those that try and crush your enthusiasm. Keep the compass pointed to the positive. Allow the Light of Love to be your “battery” that fuels the life force. When one is grateful, they will naturally be happy.

Thank you so much, Wisdom, with love.

            You are welcome little string.

A string can be used for many purposes. It can tie up packages or help fly a kite. Allow your string to tie up God’s heart and capture it as your “ prisoner”. Let God be tied to your essence. Claim the bounty. You will have an endless supply of love. Always be full of gratitude. You have the greatest treasure of all.
