And Forgive Us Our Debts

And Forgive Us Our Debts

Dear Wisdom,

Please help us to better understand the only prayer that Jesus taught in His short ministry, The Our Father:

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Matthew 3:12

What is meant by “debts”? If everything is going according to God’s plan, then what is there to forgive? Byron Katie teaches that all is perfect, hence what needs to be forgiven? Does God hold grudges against us for imperfections in our ways? Thank YOU!

Care to comment, Wisdom?

Answer

God loves unconditionally.

This is true.

But like a parent who loves their child, that love involves teaching.

God’s love is not weak.

Human love that is weak and not strong is not healthy.

Is it really love when a parent gives his child what he wants, thinking that it’s love even when it puts the child in danger?

Children who always get their way become out of control and no one wants to be around them.

That is not good parenting.

“Forgive us our debts” is stating the person knows they are wrong and they want a “clean slate” with God.

The person wants to start over.

People find it easy to ask God to forgive something they did wrong, but will bear a grudge forever against someone who hurts them.

Jesus was trying to teach how to practice unconditional love.

It is not just forgiving others, but also forgiving self.

In some translations they use the word “sin”.

In Aramaic, it means “error in thinking”.

Debt also can mean karma.

*One owns the energy they create.

This is karma.

It can be positive energy or negative energy.

You are either drawing closer to God or further away.

When a person hurts you in some way, there can be forgiveness and they free themselves from the energy or they can wallow in hate and become attached to that person’s energy.

It affects their whole life, drawing in more negative energy.

This is more about the person and their soul, and the shifting of energy.

People perceive God with human emotions.

It is more like God being in 1000 watt circuit and the person at 100 watt bulb.

One is striving to build up their wattage, and then they have a contrast.

It will create an opportunity to draw closer or make the wattage weaker.

God is patient and will wait for eternity.

It is up to the individual as to the length of time the journey will be.

Thank you so much, Wisdom, with love.

            You are welcome little “blender”.

A blender is plugged into a socket in order to bring it power.

There are various speeds.

One usually starts it off slow to just mix the ingredients in.

Once they are blended, the speed can be turned up to be able to mix more thoroughly together and add more air and loft.

The blender is slowed before being shut down and the contents removed.

Let God be the power source for the blender.

Cooking is a lot easier when one uses the tools properly.
