Dear Wisdom,
Please help us to better embrace the one of the 8 Beatitudes of Jesus.
“Blessed are… the meek: for they will inherit the earth. (5:5) Matthew 5:3–12
Care to comment, Wisdom?
Answer
“Blessed are the meek” means to be open instead of thinking all the answers are known.
Meek is thought to mean timid or even fearful.
Many think it is a weak trait to express.
When Jesus stated to be meek, He was referring to a state of mind that is willing to accept someone other than themselves to help guide their life.
*Jesus was talking about a partnership with God.
A feeling that is more personal than an image of something that doesn’t care about you.
In fact, they think it was better to go through life without being noticed by God.
People are more concerned about protecting themselves from God then becoming a friend or let God help guide their life.
Jesus was trying to free people from their image of God as being uncaring and unfeeling.
*Be meek enough to let the God of Love have an intimate relationship with you.
It takes a leap of faith and a willingness to trust God.
This takes more courage then being indifferent or angry with God.
Thank you so much, Wisdom, with joy.
You are welcome of our little “reflection”.
The moons reflection on the ocean can have many different moods depending on the clouds.
Sometimes the path on the water is so bright and clear.
Other times clouds cover the moon so there is no reflection.
It does not mean there is no moon.
*One can always reflect God.
There will be clouds that try and cover over the continuous joy of God, but for those that have the divine Lord first in their life, they can always reflect God.
*Reflecting God is how one truly inherits the earth.
