Those Who Are Persecuted

those who are persecuted

Dear Wisdom,

Please help us to better embrace the Beatitude: Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake:

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (5:10) Matthew 5:3–12

Care to comment, Wisdom?

Answer

People who are persecuted for righteousness live and die by their beliefs.

Jesus used the word righteousness for a reason.

He did not use God or any description of God because people were killed in the name of God or thrown in debtors prison because their land, property or wife was coveted.

A charge was made up.

Some law would be cited and they would never be heard from again.

The Pharisees of the church were the worst offenders of this practice.

Jesus did not want to say in the name of Allah for many people had been hurt and abused in the name of Allah.

He was trying to say the real God was righteous.

Jesus knew his message would be used throughout time.

Even now, over 2000 years later, man kills many innocent children in the name of God.

The image of God is man made and subject to interpretation.

The word righteousness is a truth for the heart.

*Jesus was teaching the concept of following a God of love, of righteousness, of compassion.

He knew many of his followers would be persecuted.

He also knew theirs would be the kingdom of heaven.

This message is still true today.

Thank you so much, Wisdom, with love.

You are welcome our little “couch”.

Couches are used to sit or lay on. They are used for resting.

Let your bed be like a couch where it can be more than just sleeping.

You could do more exercises with breaks throughout the day.

You don’t only have to sleep on the bed.

More stretching exercises will help the body.

Don’t worry you haven’t been getting up as early.

You’ve been pushing the body throughout the day.

Treat the bed also like a couch.

Take many breaks.

Let the body heal naturally.

Your time is coming.

Prepare the body.

We will help.
